My Trip!!!
Hey guys, Blogger 22 here! This month I went to Italy and Switzerland for my Halloween Vacation. The trip was beautiful! We landed in Milan, Italy and saw the Duomo! It was colossal! The stone was engraved with the most intricate detail. The inside was bigger than huge! On coming out of the Duomo I ate gelato, which put simply is a form of ice cream. But it's better than ice cream. It's more creamy and its not as sweet, but it is delectable and it melts in your mouth. Italy has a variety of sweets apart from gelato as well. They include tiramasu, cannolis, biscotti, etc.
From Milan we took a 2 and a half hour train to Interlaken, Switzerland. There were snow capped mountains and the valley were green and beautiful! The scenery looked as if it was a canvas that an artist had painted on. While we were in Interlaken, we took a cable car to the snow capped mountains and ate at a restaurant. The restaurant rotated 360 degrees to allow a complete view of the mountains. Atop the mountain was also a 007 museum for James Bond! For 30 minutes, we got to experience what it was like to be a British secret service agent!
After Interlaken, it was time to go to Lucern. We took another train and once we got there, it was SHOPPING TIME! We bought lots of chocolate! We bought cheese too! Next stop… Venice, Italy! Oh, it was so beautiful! There was water where there should have been road. We got around by water taxi and walking. We went on a gondola ride, which by the way I was in total awe of the narrow passages and how well the men steered the gondola. We even went to an opera! Most people think that you can't understand anything in an opera and its basically just a lady singing high and weird notes. But it's so much more than that! Yes, you can only understand the words if you speak Italian, but the way they sing is worthy of a standing ovation! Their gestures help you understand the story, you might not even need to know the lyrics.
We went to see glass making. Do you want to know why european glass costs so much? It' s because they do it over and over again. If you get one imperfection, the whole thing is garbage. Unfortunately, our trip came to an end after we went back to Milan. But the experience was so breathtaking that it compels us to go again.
